The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons is an organization of board-certified plastic surgeons dedicated to providing a safe and trustworthy environment for plastic surgery and to fostering a sound medical culture for the public.
The medical environment and the field of aesthetic plastic surgery are changing rapidly. In these changing times, the most important values are safety and professionalism. Plastic surgery is a highly specialized medical field that requires an advanced understanding of anatomy, extensive clinical experience, and the ability to manage complications. Therefore, the role of board-certified plastic surgeons who have completed systematic and rigorous training is becoming increasingly important.
The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons has laid an academic foundation for plastic surgery by running various academic programs; has encouraged plastic surgeons to engage in ethical practice of medicine by dramatically enhancing ethical self-regulation activities; has actively participated in social activities, and has made social contributions to fulfill its social role as an organization of specialists. Through participation in international academic symposia and interactions with the international associations for plastic surgeons, The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons has been striving to expand its knowledge base of plastic surgery globally.
The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons will continue to fulfill its responsibilities by providing accurate and reliable medical information and by helping create a medical environment in which patients can feel safe and confident in receiving treatment. We will also do our utmost to establish a healthy medical environment and proper advertising culture, while working to eradicate illegal medical practices and enhance the value of board-certified plastic surgeons.
Furthermore, we will continue academic research and professional exchange to maintain and advance the global competitiveness of Korean plastic surgery. We will also contribute to enhancing the global status of K-Beauty plastic surgery, attracting international patients, and advancing the national healthcare industry.
The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons will always listen closely to the voices of the public and strive to become a trusted professional organization that upholds the value and responsibility of board-certified plastic surgeons.
Thank you.
